OECD’s monthly Main Economic Indicators (MEI) provides a comprehensive picture of the most recent economic statistics in the 30 OECD countries and a number of non-member countries including Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, the Russian Federation, and South Africa.
Each issue provides, for each country, the monthly data for the past 12 months, quarterly data for the past two years, and annual data for the past four years. The most recent data varies by country, but generally runs about two months behind the publication date.
Using the most up-to-date graphical and tabular presentation, the indicators cover:
quarterly national accounts,
business surveys,
retail sales,
industrial production,
construction,
consumer prices,
total employment,
unemployment rates,
interest rates,
money and domestic finance,
foreign finance,
foreign trade and
balance of payments.
Also available online and on CD-ROM with data going back as far as 1960. These versions contain additional information not available in the paper publication, such as extra business surveys, balance of payments, and leading indicator series.
