This subscription provides online access to the statistics underlying OECD’s annual Education at a Glance publication as well as survey data from OECD's PISA programme.
It includes the UNESCO/OECD/EUROSTAT (UOE) database which covers the outputs of educational institutions, the policy levers that shape educational outputs, the human and financial resources invested in education, structural characteristics of education systems, and the economic and social outcomes of education.learning and training throughout life.
Included are data showing enrollment, expenditure, entrants and graduates by age and field of study, foreign students, and education personnel. Enrollment is broken down by age and expenditure data are broken down by level of education and type of expenditure. Data are generally provided from 1998 onwards. Countries covered include OECD countries.
It also includes links to PISA 2000 (43 countries), 2003 (41 countries), and 2006 (57 countries) survey datasets. PISA surveys assess the extent to which 15-year-old students have acquired some of the knowledge and skills that are essential for full participation in society. In all cycles, the domains of reading, mathematical and scientific literacy are covered not merely in terms of mastery of the school curriculum, but in terms of important knowledge and skills needed in adult life.
