1.Who are we?

Databeuro Limited are subscription agents for library and information related products, including online resources and printed material.

2. How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you contact us to enquire about our services.

We also collect information from you if you fill in our feedback or help forms.

3. What information do we collect & how is it used?

We collect information to respond to enquiries. We also collect information to allow us to fulfil our obligations to our customers – to fulfil any orders and contracts we may enter into. The section 3.3 below outlines what information we collect, and for what purpose.

3.1. Details

The information we collect is your company or institution contact details in order to respond to enquiries, this is to fulfil our contract with you. . We use your email and telephone details to confirm appointments and provide you with information about your enquiries and orders. This is considered a legitimate interest but you are free to tell us you would rather we didn’t contact you.

The information we collect from you will be passed on to the organisation or company on whose behalf we are acting as agents for the products or services. This is necessary for the fulfilment of the order or subscription.

From time to time we like to pass on information about other information related products and the services we offer. Be reassured that we will not use your email or text message for marketing unless you have given us permission to do so. GetResponse is used to generate newsletters and therefore will have your name and email address on their server. You can withdraw your consent for receiving marketing at any time.

We have verified that these 3rd party services are GDPR compliant (or are working towards GDPR compliance),and are certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework (or are working towards certification) where these organisations are based outside of the EU.

3.2. Privacy

Any data we hold about yourself or your company or institution is only accessed by authorised Databeuro employees. Should another party need to see that data they will be subject to our privacy policy.

Your data will not be shared without your consent unless there is a legal requirement to do so.

4. Website Privacy

Like many other websites, the Databeuro website uses cookies. When we provide services, we want to make them easy to use, useful and reliable. 4.4 How long we retain your data

For customers we hold your data for as long as the order or contract is in place. Following the completion of the order or expiry of the contract the data will be held for a period of one year, after which it will be subject to review and deletion from our server, subject to individual circumstances.

This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

4.5 What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive an exported file of the data we hold about you and/or your company or institution, including any data you have provided to us. 5. Security

Databeuro takes security seriously. In order to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. These steps include the following:

  • Password best practice
  • Security best practice concerning devices (PCs, laptops, mobile devices), online accounts, website hosting, physical access and storage
  • Staff training and accountability on data protection
